For the better inheritance and carrying forward of the final tradition of the patriotism of Buddhism, and further improved patriotic consciousness and patriotism of monk and nun students, on March 25th, 2018, the BCM organized all teachers and students to go into the theater and watch “Amazing China” a series of recorded movies, to bring together a rapidly developing grand chapter to the motherland.
The “Amazing China” of Patriotic was guided by the ideas of Xin Jinping on socialism with Modern Chinese characteristics. Omni bearing presented innovation, coordination, green, open and sharing under the concept of the new development of the historic achievements of China in the past five years since 18th CPC National Congress. Super projects such as Chinese bridges, Chinese roads, Chinese cars, Chinese ports and Chinese networks were shown the rapid developments in China in recent years which were deeply shocking and exciting.
After watching the film, we were deeply proud of the tremendous achievements of our country in various fields. All students felt that they must first be patriotic before having faith on the religion. There will not be a good study and practice environment for monks and nuns without a strong and stable motherland. As the Master Daoan of the Eastern Jin dynasty said, “It is difficult to establish the dharma if it is not in accordance with the government of the country.” As a modern monk, they should improve practice, improve the merit of Buddhist monks, and adhere to the Chinese orientation of Buddhism and the guidance of the communist party. They could contribute the Buddhist wisdom and strength to the realization of the great Chinese dream.
