At 3:30 p.m. on 15th June, the Deputy Secretary of the Charity of Nanputuo Temple Xiamen Ven. Putuo, the Director of Propaganda Department Ven. Foci, two Deputy Directors of General Office He Shaomeng and Lin Jenni, under the instruction of the Director of the Charity Master. Ze Wu and the Deputy Director cum the Secretary-general Ven. Hong Lai, arrived to the Foundation Hall for signing up the contrast "2017 Grant-in-Aid Project for College Students" with the Foundation for Xiamen Education. The Chairman of the Foundation Pan Shiwei, the Deputy Chairman cum Secretary Zhang Yamei and two Deputy Secretaries Chen Shen and Huang Huimin warmly welcomed the delegation of the Charity.
On the signing ceremony, Ven. Putuo expressed that charity is not only giving donations to needed people, but it is also a guidance for people to promote their spirit. His words responded to the most Ven. Zewu's ideas stated in the meeting of the Charity previously that "There is no limits of doing charity. We are able to do it anytime and any places by giving our kindness and materials to the needed people."
The Chairman Pan Shiwei said that there still many vulnerable groups are required our support in the highly economic developed society. The Foundation of Xiamen Education has been continuously sponsored schools, students and teachers in these 29 years since it was established. After began collaborating with the Charity, they fully agreed the objects of this great organization "Be beneficent and doing good deeds" and "Charity is a guidance for human spirit". The Foundation, for this project, will interview many college students by visiting their residences. The Chairman Pan also expressed his appreciation to the Director most Master. Ze Wu and wished to have long-term collaboration for this project.
The Charity donated 500 thousand yuan to the Foundation of Xiamen Education for supporting the college students who are suffering economic difficulties for paying their college tuition. The masters, staff and volunteers of the Charity will spend one month to visit the students and hand grant-in-aid to them before the semester starts in the end of August.
There are two projects "Grant-in-Aid Project for Serious Ill Teachers" and "Grant-in-Aid Project for College Students" running by the Charity and the Foundation. Both parties are looking for the best ways for long-term cooperation and expecting to look for more projects to support vulnerable groups
"Precise Charity" is the policy announced by President Master. Ze Wu in the change of terms of the Charity last year. He wished all the members of the Charity use donations in proper ways, work precisely, and distribute all the donation with smile to the real needed individuals.
